Why I want to work at 13 years old.

Hey I have worked at a thrift store before but they did not pay me. It was just something that I did to build up my resume and work experience. I need a good paying job in order to have some cash pocket. I need a part time job because I don't have one and I cannot work full time as a student. Plus I don't have anything to do after school. If I was working then I would keep busy in a positive way and be less likely to get in trouble. That is why I want to work.

I want to work at the age of thirteen because my mom has MS and my dad is deaf. I need money to help them out with food, shopping and to support my family cause my grandpa died.

Yeah he can start to volunteering. But this is a baby. He is much too young. But he can offer his services at some places to volunteer. I'll tell you what, if you get permission, ask your peoples can they take you to hospitals first. There you can read books to the kids, play with them and keep them company until they parents come back. That sounds good?

Do you have a YMCA or community rec center near you. You can try to start volunteering with them now when it's the winter and things might not be as busy. Then maybe this summer they can give you a job as a counselor or junior counselor, depending on how old you will be then.

I have worked as a camp counselor before and it was a lot of fun. I know places like that definitely offer summer programs for young kids and they will definitely hire help. So try to volunteer now in order to work later. Plus it will keep yr mind and your hands occupied in a positive way too.
