Seasonal Summer Jobs for Teens to Make Money

What are some good summer jobs for teens who want to make money when school is out? Are the best seasonal summer jobs still available for teenagers my age? If so, where can you find them?

Every kid needs something to do in the months of June, July, and August when out of school for break. Once you reach an age where you realize the importance of a dollar you also start to learn that you need to earn money for yourself. How many of us have rich parents?

There are many things you can do to make money. You can work at the YMCA, summer camps, christian bible school and day camps, amusement parks, office buildings, babysitting, mother's helper, walking dogs, lawn mowing, painting houses and fences, tutoring, cleaning pools, being a lifeguard, daycare helper, window washing, cleaning houses, washing cars, packing groceries, food and pizza delivery person, and lots more.

Have you checked your local library yet? They are notorious for hiring high school students and minors in general. If you belong to a church or congregation you can check to see if they will be running a summer camp this year. If you are a good member and all around nice person you should be able to gain employment with them. Many of these seasonal out of school jobs can be done in any area, whether you live in Atlanta, Brooklyn, or Chicago.

What you may not realize is that every job is not for everybody. It is important to do something that you will enjoy, or that you can at least tolerate. Whether you are working part time or full time, the hours will be torture if you are doing something that you hate.
