Jobs for 14 year old Boys at a Barber Shop

I had one of the best jobs for 14 year old boys last summer. I worked at a barber shop sweeping up the hair and running errands for the workers and customers.

This job was great because I got a chance to be around older guys who really helped school me on a lot of things. My boss was only 15 years older than me, and he owned his own business. That really has me wanting to be my own boss when I grow up.

And the best thing was that my hair stayed cut and clean the whole summer, absoluteley free. I didn't make it rich though. He paid me at the end of each day I worked. It was about $50 dollars on the weekdays that had good traffic, and $75 on Saturdays. I loved it.

So for those kids out there looking for jobs for teens why not check out your local barber. He wasn't advertising for any jobs. I had to ask and promote my own services direct and up front, and it worked. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want. You just might get it!
