Jobs for 13 Year Olds Washing Cars

You can find good jobs for 13 year olds washing cars. I am a 13 year old boy and that is what I did this summer to make some extra money. All I did was get a bucket, some sponges, towels, and mild soap and went door to door.

I live in an apartment community where we have parking spots right in front of our houses. So I just knocked on neighbors doors and asked if I could wash their car. I did get a lot of excuses, but these are hard times. But I did get a yes about 1 out of every ten times.

It was hard hearing all of those no's in the beginning, but the good thing was that those people who said yes once became repeat customers. I made appointments to wash their car every two to three weeks. And I would give them a discount every time they referred me to someone else.

It was hard work in the summer heat but sooo worth it. School starts in a few weeks and I have almost $1000 to buy school clothes, sneakers, and a new iphone. So if you don't mind getting a little wet and dirty then car washing is a good job for a 13 year old.
