Please, I really need a job!

Hi, I can't put my name (sorry), but I really need a job (I'm being serious here). I have looked up on websites and they tell me loads of advice, they told me I could do paper rounds, but they are only aloud in America, they said I could walk dogs, but everyone I asked, they said no!! They said I could do babysitting, but its like nobody owns kids in my town, they all didn't get back to me! They said I could do chores around the house, but everybody says: go away, your annoying me! So I really need a job. I am 12 years old, 13 next year, and I live on the Isle of Wight.

I'm twelve and I need one too. I really want a mohawk but my mom says it is too expensive to get it cut so often, but she said if I can pay for my own haircuts I can get it cut however I want. I just need like 20 dollars every 3 weeks or so.

Well I'm 12 and I need a job other than babysitting, as in working at a snow cone stand or ice cream place. I'm interested in getting paid. I would like starting a club around you and writing, then turning it in to the newspaper for money. I want to do something other than lemonade stands and more or less like walking dogs. I'm not really sure what jobs there is in the place that u live but I was doing dog walking and I was gaining like 35 dollars per hour(7 per dog). I gave 50% of my money to my parents since we were having money problems(we still do), but I stopped because we moved.

I hope dog walking will help you get money!

Hi, I'm 12 years old and I turn 13 in the beginning of August. People do not understand how hard it is to get a job at 12 being a girl. boys can just mow lawn or anything out of the ordinary. i have no problem writing poetry, modeling, or acting. I live in Ohio and I will greatly appreciate if someone will give me an opportunity to find something to help people and the well being of others or any of the other things I listed. I do not always want to ask for money. I want to be able to pay my own way when the bills come! I am twelve and its really hard to find a job without experience.

I'm 12 and I'm in the same situation but every time I post something like this everyone always says oh do chores around the house to earn money, but that's why I need a job because my mum and dad have no money to give me. Why can't they make it legal to hire anyone they think is capable to do the job. They made it illegal because children used to be forced to work. We don't have to be forced!

I've tried dog walking, working in shops and everything. I've asked the local news agencies for a job, but to our surprise it was a 'no your no young'. Everyone I talk to says I'm so mature for my age and I don't look or act 12. I'm in Britain and want a job sooooooooo bad! grrrr :(

Well baby I wish I could help but I'm 14 and its not easy for me either. Look your only 12. Trust me I tried a couple of times to get a job and I'm still not working. So my advice to u is to chill n wait until u turn like 13 yo. Then you can volunteer at a hospital or something. And if they feel you are doing a great job they'll pay u a little money. When I said volunteer I mean when you go to the hospital read books to the little kids, keep them quiet while their parents are gone, play with them, and it will be fun for all, really for you. So try that.

You can model at 12 Years Old

You can definitely model at 12 years old. You need to get yourself some professional pictures done and make yourself a portfolio. If you have a good camera or know someone who does then you don't have to go to a photographer.

Once you get your pics together start sending them out to modeling agencies. Also check in your local area for auditions for movies, television shows, commercials, or even print ads like for Toysrus and places like that.

I had a friend who was able to get her daughter in a JCPenny print ad and made almost one thousand dollars for one photo shoot. It will take more research and effort on your part but you can definitely get a job as a model at 12 years old before you turn thirteen years old. Good luck.
