You should definitely try babysitting. You have somewhat of an advantage over other 16 year old girls, you actually have a baby that you care for. Other mothers will be more willing to hire you because they know that you have real hands on experience. There are some things you can only pick up after having a baby or caring for one on a 24 hour a day basis, and you have that now. You also might get more babysitting jobs because they know how hard it is to be a mother and all of the expenses involved. They will want to give the money to you more than another teenager who is not responsible for another life yet. So create some fliers on your computer, get some business cards, even put a picture of your son on it if you can. Then go out there and advertise yourself. Pass the fliers or business cards out everywhere you know other mothers will see it. This would be places like laundromats, grocery stores, community centers, daycare centers, after school programs, you name it. You are sure to some jobs that way.
