I know you are probably sick of hearing this, but you are too young to actually work for a company like Sittercity.com They are a national company where you can apply to babysit and petsit for people needing these services in your area, but they require you to be at least 18 years old. Most teens just do it the old fashion way. You put up signs around your local area at places like the grocery store, laundromat, or post them near playgrounds. Once you get one or two jobs under your belt then you could use those parents as a reference for getting more business. Parents really like a good deal, so if you can, offer a 2 for the price of 1 type deal. Two parents with a single child each offer them a good rate and they can split the fee between them. This has worked well for me and I am still only babysitting two kids. I try not to do the 4 for 2 deal because that is a LOT of work. Children are more active when they are with other kids.
