How old do you have to be to work at mac cosmetics. I am a 16 year old girl looking for a job. I love their makeup and I use it exclusively. I always get compliments on how beautifully my face is done and I do my friends faces too. I would love to work at their counter so I could pay for my own lipsticks, eyeshadows, and pencils. Should I or can I apply at my age?

On the contrary, you don't NEED to have a license to work on clients' faces (behind a counter anyways). I used to work for M.A.C.. They look for talent. period.

You have to be at least 18 To work at Mac

You have to be at least 18 years old to work at Mac Cosmetics. You may be able to work your way around that to some point. Most Mac counters are located within a mall or shopping center, so it is a local manager that will hire and fire you, not Mac directly. So if you have the cosmetology skills that you claim they may allow you to work at the register. You should start looking in to getting your cosmetology license to prepare for working on other people's faces as a living.

Get yourself a portfolio going if you haven't already. That way you can show your work to the people with the hiring power. Good luck to you.
