Direct Mailing Jobs for 13 Year Olds

by janette

There are direct mailing jobs for 13 year olds or teens of any age. This kind of job requires you to put out the postage in advance usually. But if you have enough money to start of with the stamps and envelopes then you could make money.

You get a list of potential customers from whatever company you are working for. They can also mail you the postcards or envelopes to mail to these sales leads. You put your identifying number or code on the paperwork and add the stamp to mail.

If the person receiving the material decides to buy the product or service you are mailing to them then you get a commission off of it. A commission is when you get a percentage of the sale as your pay for selling the product or service. It can range anywhere from 2, 5, 10, 15, or 20 percent. It really depends on what you are selling and how much the company you are working for is willing to give up. But it works.

I think direct mailing jobs are good jobs for 13 year olds.

It is hard to find work at my age
by: Anonymous

I thought that I would get into the direct mailing business. I thought that it would be a good idea but it is not always easy to find a generally good business that isn't a fake or a scam. Companies like that are not willing to give you the correct amount of money for the hard work that you do. I do find that when I was looking for a job I tried looking the brighter side of things but there seems to be no one willing to pay 13andup kids tow work. At the moment I am working part time for my local riding and delivery center where I keep my own horse.

I do recommend that when you are looking for a job do not just look online, but go around and make some leaflets and hand them out. You could pass them around at some shops, newspaper stands, bodegas, corner stores, and local restaurants and advertise what you are able to do. But when you do, it might be best to take a responsible adult to help you, advise you, and to make sure that you are not being taken advantage of! GOOD LUCK!!!

Direct Mailing Didn't Work for Me
by: Anonymous

Direct mailing jobs did not work for me. I tried it before and spent like $200 on stamps and the promotional materials they sent me. I spent hours filling out the envelopes with these people's addresses on them, and hours stamping my identifying codes on the envelopes. I sent about 200 envelopes and did not make one sale.

It was hard, boring work and no guarantee of getting paid or a commission. It was definitely not for me. I need a job that gives me a set salary for my hours worked. Sorry.
