14 years old wanted a job

I am 14 years old and am really looking for a job. I have been a babysitter for a few years now and I know it is hard work. I have taken care of my sister's kids whenever she has to go out or run errands, but she does not pay me. Then when my uncle and his wife need to go out I take care of his kids too. They pay me $50 for a few hours of work. That's great, but its tough and its not very often. I need a job now.

14 year old jobs are hard to come by. The reason most teenagers your age babysit is because most other business don't hire kids your age. I know that's probably not what you want to hear but it's true.

Most jobs are going to be tough. That's why they call it work. If you like watching kids I would stick with that. Try printing up some business cards and pass them out at supermarkets and laundromats. Mothers are always there, and they will need a break at some point.

If you really don't like babysitting then try filling out surveys online. Many 14 year olds are also able to be junior counselors at a lot of summer camps, and that is a paying job too. Hope you find one soon.
