14 and Need a Job Work as a Tutor

If you are 14 and need a job you should try to work as a tutor. At first I thought you had to be super smart or something, but you don't. What you do is tutor kids in lower grades than yours, if you were good at learning, studying, explaining, etc.

I actually had fun tutoring, and I really felt like I was helping someone, those are the best jobs for 14 year olds you can find. So don't be intimidated by the thought. Just think of it as helping your little brother or sister with their homework. Oh yeah, but you have to have patience. Remember that you're working with children, and they can be sensitive about having problems learning or not understanding.

And you should try to get your money up front if possible. I had a few parents "come up short" after the session was over. They paid me eventually, but you don't want to start having to start chasing down people who owe you, it's very frustrating.

Post an ad to get a job
by: Anonymous

You can post an ad to get a job tutoring. Craigslist lets you post ads online for free. The listing can last for up to 60 days in some places. You could also post your services on your Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter page. If you live in an area without a lot of children then the internet is the perfect place to find a job and parents looking for a tutor for their kids.

tutoring jobs, where to find hem
by: Antoinette

How did you find your tutoring jobs for 14 years old. I live in an area where there aren't alot of kids. I live with my grandparents and I really don't know many people here. Maybe I'll try some cleaning services type work, that way I would actually get paid for doing chores.

I had tutored last winter when I was living with my mom, but the experience wasn't that great. I think the boy had ADHD or something, because he could not sit still for twenty minutes to save his life. One time he even bit me while I was trying to explain a math problem to him. I hope you don't have a work experience that bad any time soon.

The things we have to do for money.
