13 Year Old Summer Jobs

I am looking for 13 year old summer jobs. Where can I find one?

I love kids. I have a lot of experience in babysitting. I would love to be a model. I am very good in school too. I have a high GPA. My grade point average is at 3.75 right now. I am in a lot of programs at my school like: unite (drug free organization), beta (do well in school and have a high GPA), Soccer (sport), and choir (singing). I need a job during the summer to keep busy and to make some money. Any suggestions?

How Jordan made money in the Summer

I have held several 13 year old summer jobs. All of them were during my summer break and on the weekends.

My brother and I started a lawn mowing company. We decided to start the company because we wanted to have an in ground pool installed in our backyard.

We didn’t have a lawn mower so we borrowed our neighbor’s lawnmower. We, then, went to all of our neighbors and asked them to mow their lawn. We got paid twenty dollars per yard that we mowed.

Our neighbor that lent us the mower told us that we are not allowed to use their equipment to work on other people’s property. Unfortunately we didn’t listen and the mower broke. The air filter became clogged and burnt out the engine. We tried to replace the air filter but it didn’t work.

We then took it to a repair shop and we were told there was no way to salvage it. The cost to replace the mower was a $325 and we ended up spending all the money we saved up to replace it.

One of my most successfule 13 year old summer jobs was when I worked as a babysitter. I spent my entire summer watching the kids across the street. I was paid $5 dollars an hour, which ended up being about $120 a week.

I held this job for several summers. All the money I made ended up going to my mom, who used it for groceries, electricity or the rent for our house, but I was glad that I could help.
